Recently, I became trained in "Seeking Safety" a skill, evidence, present-focused based manual treatment therapy for PTSD, Trauma and Substance Abuse.

Interdisciplinary Studies with 3 cognates in Social Science, Health
Science and Natural Science in my senior year at Liberty University
I would like to offer my services for free to the clients on a weekly basis. Sessions can be in open or closed format, female or male gender or both.
We would have group sessions in an open format maybe in the front room by the lobby where the other classes are held. It could be at your convenience but would need to be after noon on any given day.
The class sessions would consist of individual or group individuals taking turns to report their check ins and to read from the Topic material;
Seeking Safety Treatment Format
Session Format:
Introduction:
1. Check in (5 - 10 min): BRIEF
2. The Quotation: "What''s the main point of this quote?"
3. Session Topic: Facilitator does not read
4. Group Discussion
Grounding techniques & Coping Sheets may be used as needed
5. Commitment to Recovery Handout
6. Check out (5-10 min): Leave enough time!
7. End of Session Questionnaire
Goals are:
Stopping self-harm
Gaining control over their lives or any extreme symptoms
Letting go of dangerous relationships
Developing self care.
